Enforcement officers of the municipality will carry out random checks during the UIT to ensure that the Licensing and Catering Act is respected, and may issue fines for violations. The UIT management may also impose sanctions. In this respect, the UIT management makes no distinction between the regulations contained in the Licensing and Catering Act and its own rules.
The Alcohol and Drugs Policy applies throughout the UIT. This means that it is also applicable outside the opening hours of the official programme (i.e. after 1.00 am);
Supplying alcoholic drinks to young people under the age of 18 is not permitted;
Besides the personal consumption of alcohol by young people under the age of 18, it is also forbidden to pass on or serve alcohol to young people under the age of 18 or to young people under the age of 25 who are unable to show any valid proof of identity.
Alcohol will be served only within the permitted hours;
No alcohol will be served to persons who are clearly in a state of inebriation or those who pose a threat to public order, safety or decency;
During the UIT programme activities as well as at the student organisations, no spirits, pre-mixes or other mild alcoholic beverages – apart from regular beer, wine and shandy (Radler) 2.0% – will be served;
